Technical Education - Gaining Momentum

Punjab has taken new initiatives in technical education to provide latest trends in technology and give opportunity to student and faculty to interact with the technology leaders in the country. Among the initiatives are the establishments of:

Proposed Knowledge City at Mohali (381 acres) comprising of established IISER, NIPER and proposed NABI, ISB & IINST*
Gyan Jyoti Centre of Excellence initiated by Punjab Technical University at Mohali.
Establishment of Indian Institute of Technology at Roopnagar.
Establishment of Seven new Govt. Polytechnic Colleges in unrepresented Districts under Centre Govt Scheme.
