IT/ Knowledge  Industry Park at Kapurthala, Jalandhar – India’s next IT hub
An integrated IT/Knowledge Industrial Park at Jalandhar-Kapurthala is proposed to be developed on land measuring about 47 acres. The IT/Knowledge Industrial Park is situated at a distance of 32 km. from Jalandhar and the region is well connected to other parts of the country through national highway (NH1), rail and an international airport at Amritsar (70 km). Spread over an area of 50 acres, the IT/Knowledge Industrial Park will comprise of IT/ITeS Knowledge centre, Entrepreneur Development Centre (EDC) along with other commercial components.

Kapurthala- Jalandhar at a Glance
The region is situated about 9 km from the NH 1 and 22 km from Jalandhar (JDA) limits. Jalandhar is fast emerging as an education hub with number of renowned institutions such as Punjab Technical University (PTU), Lovely Professional University (LPU), National Institute Technology (NIT) and Pushpa Gujaral Science City etc are key factors in determining the success of the project

Railmajra IT Park is spread over an area of 12.11 acres adjoining Chandigarh-Mohali region, the most premium and well established IT hub of Punjab. It is near to Chandigarh- Mohali International Airport and proposed Knowledge City in Mohali and would provide built to suits sites, plug & play offices and commercial sites. The proposed IT Park is in close proximity to Rayat and Bahra Institution, DCM Engineering and JCT Industries etc. The total contiguous land of 12.11 is already acquired and in possession with Punjab Infotech. The development is expected to start by third quarter of the year 2010. The project will have 50% processing area and balance 50% non processing area.

Railmajra is located on the State Highway connecting Nawashahr and Roopnagar. It is in close proximity to Chandigarh- Mohali International Airport and is emerging as the new knowledge corridor of Punjab

IT Park at Sneta, Mohali
About 44 acres of land in Village Saneta in district Mohali is earmarked by the Government of Punjab for the development of IT/ITeS Park in Sneta. The Park is situated at a distance of 10 km. from Chandigarh–Mohali International Airport and 10 km from Mohali City. The IT Park will comprise of IT/ITeS Knowledge centre, Entrepreneur Development Centre (EDC) along with other commercial components. The total contiguous land of 44 acres is already in the process of acquisition and will be developed in phased manner.
