e-Procurement Portal
Punjab Infotech has successfully implemented e-procurement in 42 departments/organisations in a phased manner. e-procurement facilitates the complete tendering process from advertising of the requirement through the portal to the placing of the order. This includes the submission of all relevant documents in electronic format through use of Internet and associated technologies resulting in increased efficiency, reduced cost to government departments and transparency.
Initiated in the year 2010, more than 71838 tenders have been processed through this centralized Government of Punjab portal till 17th January 2016.
Punjab Infotech is implementing e-procurement in association with M/s ITI Ltd. (a Government of India undertaking). Payment Gateway Services for the portal are provided through Axis Bank and HDFC Bank for EMD and Tender Fees payment. More than 8,800 vendors have been registered with centralized e-Procurement Portal and have been also imparted training for using e-Procurement System.
The application has been successfully used for e-auction of sand and gravel mines by the State Geological Division of the Department of Industries & Commerce and for e-auction of Cattle Fair organized by the Department of Rural development and Panchayats.
